On 03.02.2025 the Austrian Federal Competition Authority was notified of the following merger:
Planned purchase process
The notified concentration concerns the planned acquisition of sole control over RWA Raiffeisen Ware Austria Aktiengesellschaft by RWA Raiffeisen Ware Austria Handel und Vermögensverwaltung eGen.
Fields of activity: Wholesale of agricultural raw materials; building materials; other consumer goods; agricultural machinery and equipment; solid fuels and petroleum products; provision of other economic services.
G - WHOLESALE AND RETAIL TRADE G 46.2 - Wholesale of agricultural raw materials and live animals, G 46.49 - Wholesale of other household goods, G 46.61 - Wholesale of agricultural machinery, equipment and supplies, G 46.71 - Wholesale of motor vehicles, G 46.73 - Wholesale of motorcycles, motorcycle parts and accessories, O - ADMINISTRATIVE AND SUPPORT SERVICE ACTIVITIES, O 82 - Office administrative, office support and other business support activities, O 82.99 - Other business support service activities n.e.c.
Deadline for bringing in an application pursuant to § 11(1) Cartel Act will end on 03.03.2025.
Entrepreneurs whose legal or economic interests are affected by the merger can bring in a written statement at the Federal Competition Authority or the Federal Cartel Prosecutor within 14 days from publication date.
Note: The intervening party has no right to a certain treatment of the statement and will not gain a party position.
Non-prohibition of the merger
The Federal Competition Authority and the Federal Cartel Prosecutor have not applied for examination of the merger by the Cartel Court. The standstill obligation (§ 17 (1) Cartel Act) ends with effect from 04.03.2025 .
