11.07.2014, Vienna. On 21.05.2014, the Cartel Court (to 24 Kt 17/14) imposed a fine in the amount of EUR 372.000 against Grundig Intermedia GmbH.
According to § 29 Z1 lit a and lit b KartG 2005, a fine of EUR 372.000 has been imposed to Grundig Intermedia GmbH, due to infringement against Art 101 AEUV (Art 81 EG) and § 1 KartG 2005, partially in connection with delivery restrictions, with companies operating in the trade sector, that distribute products of the electronic/ electric industry to buyers in Austria, in the period between at least the beginning of 2009 to May 2013.
The BWB imposed fines at the end of February 2014, due to infringing vertical price maintenance in combination with coordinated behavior, which resulted in a disruption of the trade sale "online sales" of consumer electronics and household appliances. With court house search warrants, the antitrust court proceedings went ahead with house searches. The above-mentioned decision is final.
