On 05.06.2023 the Austrian Federal Competition Authority was notified of the following merger:

Dr. August Oetker Nahrungsmittel KG, D-33617 Bielefeld, Germany, intends to acquire 100% of the shares in and sole control over Galileo Lebensmittel GmbH & Co. KG, D-54311 Trierweiler.
Industry sector: Manufacture of other food products.
Industry sector: C - Verarbeitendes Gewerbe/Herstellung von Waren
On 30.06.2023 the applicant requested the extension of the deadline for the submission of an application for examination by two weeks, pursuant to § 11 (1a) Cartel Act. The deadline for the submission of an application for examinations by the administrative authorities is extended by two weeks, thus ending on 17.07.2023.
Non-prohibition of the merger
The Federal Competition Authority and the Federal Cartel Prosecutor have not applied for examination of the merger by the Cartel Court. The standstill obligation (§ 17 (1) Cartel Act) ends with effect from 18.07.2023 .
